I am watching a documentary about Florence Foster-Jenkins, an opera singer in the 20th century. She is well-known for being a terrible singer but so convinced of her talent that no one could talk her out of it and she sold out venues.
I greatly admire her.
As someone who has been detoxing from the desire to have everyone’s approval before I can do something or say something, I admire her belief in her self that seems almost delusional.
You can check out the documentary here.
Also, it didn’t hurt that she was wealthy and had influence and privilege from her riches.
What could you do with that kind of self-belief?
Or even just 10% of that belief?
